   Report on Arrival of Vivek Express on Saturday 25th June 2011 at Dharmapuri

In Connection with the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Indian Railways pays its Homage to Swamiji by organising Swami Vivekananda Pictorial Exhibition - Special Train traveling all over India

The Special Train arrived at Dharmapuri on 25th June. It was  inaugurated by Mrs.Lilly, District Collector at 10.15 a.m. It was kept open till 8.00 p.m.  About 17,000 visitors : students, teachers, general public of Dharmapuri & nearby places saw the Exhibition enthusiastically. All were given a copy of Flashes from Swami Vivekananda (booklet in Tamil costing Rs.1.50 each) and Holy Trinity Card - free of cost. Students from 20 Institutions (both Schools and Colleges) came. Books were sold to the tune of Rs.20,000/- by our Salem Ashrama Book Stall.

It was organised by Dharmapuri Vivekananda Town Hall Committee, Papparapatti Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama & Salem Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama.

Swami Ramananda & Sri Anandraj of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Papparapatti (Private Centre), Sri Guru Rao, Sri Vadivel, Selvi Vasantharani, Selvi Poongothai, Sri Shanmugam, Sri Selvam, Sri Dhandapani, Sri Raamkumar, Sri. J.P.Balasubramaniam, Sri Rajendran(Dawn School), Sri B.R.M.Subramani, Sri Ramesh, Sri. Murugesan of Dharmapuri Vivekananda Town Hall Committee (private centre) co-ordinated the function.

Srimat Swami Raghunathanandaji Maharaj, Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math was the Special Invitee. Sri Perumal, Vice-President of Salem Ashrama Managing Committee also participated.
